NAGA CITY

Nov 29' 11 - We reached Naga Terminal around 3:00 pm and we told the tricycle driver to take us to SAMPAGUITA INN, because this is the cheapest place to stay when you are in Naga City plus it is accessible to the market, plaza, terminal and SM.

We stayed in the old Sampaguita Inn, the triple room with three (3) single beds, aircon and cable tv cost Php700.00 perfect for backpackers.

For dinner we ate at GEEWAN, located in P.Burgos St. walking distance from the Inn. We tried four (4) of the Bicolano dishes: Pinangat (P40), Kandingga(P70), Bicol Express (P50) and Kinunot (P65). Its all good and very affordable. They have a wide selection of foods, desserts and drinks.

After that, we went to the market to buy pasalubong like Pili Nuts, key chain, ref magnet, tshirts, etc. Most sweet delicacies like Mazapan de Pili, Pudding, Pili Cake, Pastillas and Pili bar can be bought 3 for Php100.

But the best tasting pasalubong is made by RPM located at ELIAS ANGELES St., not in the market. My favorite is Susperos de Pili 1 pack cost Php100.00 but it's worth it once you ate it. They also have 3 for Php100.00 delicacies.

We went back to the hotel after we bought some water, then call it a night.

The next morning Nov 30'11, I woke up around 4:40am, took a bath then went to the BASILICA to attend a mass. I was surprised to see a lot of people from kids to senior citizens, jogging and walking around the Basilica's compound. I was a bit early because the mass starts at 6:00am. So I just watched them and took some pics of the Church.
