Lunch at SPLENDIDO

My Dad bought a Splendido GC from his officemate worth five thousand (5k) for Php1500, since August 29'11 is a Holiday, we decided to go to Tagaytay and have lunch at Splendido.

Usually, the travel time from our house to Tagaytay takes 30-40 minutes only. But that day, alot of vehicles are going to Tagaytay via Starosa-Silang route. It took us four (4) hours to reach Splendido from Starosa! Yes 4 hrs! No kidding! And another four (4) hours from Splendido to our house...(nakaka-inip at inis yung usad pagong na trapik).

Imagine that...we could have gone to Baguio or La Union instead of having lunch at Splendido which is part of Batangas province after Tagaytay.

John Lloyd and Sarah's movie "You Changed My Life" ending part was shot here.....

MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE RESTO

Food is expensive, one entree without drinks for 1 person would range from Php550-700. My dad's gc worth 5k is just enough for us six (6).

I saw this fountain from the movie.

This place is suited for businessmen fond of golf, families belonging to the upper class, artists, etc.

If not for the gc we wouldn't experienced dining here. But the eight hours that was spent in traffic que is a waste of time. Lesson learned: we should avoid going to Tagaytay whenever there's a holiday.

  2. Hi Chyng! Thank you for visiting my blog...im surprised coz I'm a fan of your blog :) Ang galing mo talaga magbigay ng mga tips at magkwento.... Anyway, masarap naman talaga yung food kaso pricey sya at medyo maghintay ka bago ma-serve yung food. Hindi naman talaga kami kumakain sa ganitong mahal na resto...nagkataon lang na may GC si Dad.

I would very much appreciate if you'll give me tips or suggestions sa pagba-blog lalo na sa mga nagsisimula pa lang :) Gusto ko lang naman ma-share yung experience and tips sa mga budget traveller gaya ko :) Thanks and more power to you chyng!
