Tara sa LiLiW Laguna

We've been living in Laguna for almost 10 years now but I haven't been to Liliw. That's why I told my mom that we'll visit it this year, thanks to a friend/ex bf, we've reached the Tsinelas Capital last August 11'12 right after the Habagat and typhoon (inaway ko talaga si Ex dahil kinalimutan nya usapan namin about Liliw, buti nakunsensya).

Liliw is about 2 hours drive from Sta.rosa Laguna, my ex-bf's car aircon is broken so we had to deal with the heat and pollution (cge go lang basta makapunta lang ng Liliw kasi gusto tlaga nmin ni mama makita yun).

We just followed the road sign and ask some local if we're going on the right direction to Liliw because the three of us are first timers. After you reach the town of PAGSANJAN, you will see a signage to Liliw (diretso lang ang byahe as in lahat ng bayan mula Calamba hanggang Pagsanjan tapos pag nakita ninyo yung Jollibee mag- right na kayo sa mas masikip na road papunta Liliw).

Liliw is somewhat similar to Lucban, small town with narrow roads and one whole street is allocated to various establishments selling slippers, sandals, shoes, and bags (tabi-tabi yung mga nagtitinda halos pare-pareho din ang presyo wla gaano tawad).

When you visit Liliw you must dine at Arabella and taste their famous dessert, pizza, pasta and salad they also accept credit cards. Just watch out for their ceiling because it's really low and the place is really small but food is good, reasonable price, and neat. The water they serve has a slice of orange and lemon (sosyal).

My mom ordered baked zitti (Php85) and Blueberry cheesecake (Php95). This dessert is sooooo good! (Naisip nga ni mama si Dad kasi favorite nya ito, 1 box cost Php 900 kaso baka matunaw lang kaya di na lang sya nagtakeout).

I ordered baked macaroni (Php85) and Dulce de Leche (Php95) which  I read from other bloggers. This cake is a must try! Its crunchy, sweet and melts in your mouth.
My mom bought several pairs of sandals and slippers from BADONG so that she could sell it to her friends.

She spent around 4k buying dozens of slippers, 6 pairs of close sandals, various pairs of step-in with different designs. She even ask the owner, Mang Badong to post with her as I took their photo.

After my mom finished her shopping, we walked towards St. John the Baptist, Liliw's famous Church, known for its brick facade and architecture.

There was a wedding being celebrated during our visit to LiLio Church.

The weather that day is very humid, on our way home my head started to ache and I feel like throwing up while we're stuck in traffic in Olivarez intersection. Then, when we reached Los Banos, my mom bought Buko Pie from "THE ORiginal", while I bought Silvanas from "LOUBELS", 1 box cost Php150 just 2-3 houses away from The Original just cross the other side of the road. "LETTY's Buko Pie is also a good pasalubong,

I took paracetamol to ease my headache but it didn't help, so when we reached our home in Starosa, I hurriedly went to the bathroom and vomitted....I feel so sick and dizzy, my throat hurts, my head spins. Then, I look at my back and it turned red due to the rashes cause by the paracetamol.

In the end, my mom was very happy she was able to visit Liliw and purchased alot of stuff. For me, I got 3 pairs of slippers and 1 pair of sandals, 1 box of Silvanas and a memory of my first time in Liliw.
